PAYMENT POLICY: A 25% non-refundable deposit will be taken at the time of booking. If you have booked a Superior Room Superior Price discount offer, you will be charged a non-refundable full payment in advance.   

Please check out and settle charges by 10.30 am on your day of departure. For group bookings for 5 or more rooms, please be aware that in order to secure a reservation, a 50% non-refundable deposit will be taken at the time of booking.  

CANCELLATION POLICY: You have been charged a 25% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. If you have booked a Superior Room Superior Price discount offer, you will be charged a non-refundable full payment in advance.  If we are unable to rebook your room, cancellations or amends received three days or less before the check-in date will be charged the full amount for the first night. No shows will be charged the full amount for your stay. For bookings made via an online travel agent, please refer to the OTA’s individual T&Cs. 

Children under 12 years are not permitted to stay at The Royston. 

CHECK-IN: between 3 – 7 pm. Check-Out: by 10:30 am. Late checkout is available upon request. It would be appreciated if you could let us know your arrival time in advance. 

DOG-FRIENDLY ROOMS: To avoid disappointment, advance notice is required when booking one of our dog-friendly rooms. The Royston welcomes small to medium-sized, well-behaved dogs. There is a surcharge of £25 per stay. Maximum one dog per room. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. There is a trough outside the rear entrance to rinse off your four-legged friend.  

We have car parking on site. Please note that cars are parked entirely at the owner’s risk. 

As a licensed property, we ask that guests do not consume their own alcohol in guest rooms, public areas or the grounds of The Royston.

All rates are inclusive of VAT at the current rate. Rates are per room, per night, including breakfast, based on two adults sharing a room. 

We reserve the right to charge your credit or debit card for any items that are missing when you leave or for any damage done to your room during your stay. 

We often operate a 2-night minimum stay.  

For the comfort of our other guests, we ask that we be made aware of any Hen or Stag parties at the time of booking, and we may refuse the booking if we feel it may compromise the enjoyment of our other guests. If you book for a Hen or Stag party without notifying us prior to the booking, we reserve the right to refuse the booking upon arrival. 

The Royston is 100% smoke-free. Smoking is not permitted in any part of the hotel building. If smoking has taken place, a cleaning fee of up to £100 will be assessed. 

A charge of £45 will be taken in the event of a lost key. This covers the cost to change the lock, key fob and a new key.
